Inauguration of the Intelligent Classroom – Yaoundé
The Intelligent Classroom was officially inaugurated in Yaoundé, marking a major milestone in Cameroon’s journey toward expanding access to quality digital education.
More than a technology-equipped classroom, this initiative introduces a modular, self-sustained learning environment designed to support education in both urban and remote communities.
The classroom features:
- Modular classroom structure designed for rapid deployment
- Capacity to accommodate 40–60 students, with the ability to expand for larger groups
- 60 solar panels enabling energy independence in areas without reliable electricity
- Integrated water and sanitation systems
- Offline local network infrastructure enabling digital learning without internet dependency
- Promethean interactive panels to support interactive teaching and learning
- Local access to digital learning resources through MicroCloud content distribution
The solution is specifically designed to bridge the digital divide, enabling schools in underserved and remote areas to benefit from modern learning environments, digital resources, and teacher empowerment.
This model demonstrates how infrastructure, renewable energy, and education technology can be combined to create sustainable learning spaces for the future of education in Cameroon.
